Ivory Elephant Tusks - Pair-- Image Set #2

Picture set number two - Ivory Elephant Tusks - Pair. These handsome tusks are in excellent condition. They are beautifully carved with a fully developed fine flowing and graceful forms. The carving is thought to be of West African origan in the 19th Century. Exact sizes are as follows- Tusk #1 is 46 inches in length on the outside and 43 1/4 inches on the inside. The base circumference is 9 3/4 inches, the mid circumference is 7 1/2 inches, and the tip circumference , three inches from the end is 2 3/4 inches. Tusk number 2 is 45 in length, on the outside, and 43 1/4 in lemgth at the longest point of the irregular edge. The base circumference is 10 1/4 inches, the mid circumference is 8 inches, and the tip circumference is 3 inches, three inches from the tip. The set is complete with the stands and brass collars.
