Militaria refers to the artifacts of the military generally in terms of collecting antiques of historical significance. Included are firearms, both long arms and short guns, weapons, uniforms, badges, plates and insignia, fine art and art prints, photographs, antiquarian books, magazines, scale models, tin soldiers, challenge coins, and more. The greatest emphasis is upon items from The War Between the States (1861-1865) but fine collector pieces are also offered from the 17th century through the 19th century and occasionally will include items World War 1 and World War II. Six major categories are included, Hand Guns and Long Guns, Swords, Knives, Bayonets, Leather Goods, Plates, Books, Papergoods. Each year it becomes more difficult to locate quality items which is one reason military collectables make a good investment.
