Rushton Toys / At-Play-Toys. The Rushton Toy Company. The Rushton Company was founded by Mary Rushton, a native Atlantan. Her daughter, Wight Rushton, designed the toys. It was a family owned and operated business from 1917 to 1983.
The At-Play toys were one of the most collectible lines produced by Rushton. The toys are made of the finest rayon & plush material, stuffed with clean top grade cotton, eyes were sewed in and did not pull out, and had hand embroidered noses, felt tongues & large satin bows.
Rushton's Star Creation toy line were hand painted, rubber faced animals and dolls. They were made from the 1950's - 1960's. It was one of their most popular toy lines.
