Atlanta Antique Gallery - Games
Today, most antique games from the 19th century are rare and highly collectible, primarily because of their spectacular lithography. W. & S.B. Ives Company produced many board and card games in the 1840's and 1850's. Milton Bradley and McLoughlin Brothers became major producers of what are now considered antique games starting in the 1860's, followed by Parker Brothers in the 1880's. In the 20th century, Milton Bradley, Selchow and Righter, and Parker Brothers became the primary manufacturers of boxed games. Today, the hottest segment of antique game collecting is in rare character games from the 1960's.
