The term Art Nouveau is a French term for the "new art" which had it's beginnings in the early 1890's and continued for the next 40 years. The flowing and sensuous female forms used in this period were popular in Europe and America. Among the most recognized artists of antique Art Deco were, Galle, Lalique and Tiffany. The Art Deco era began in the early 1920's through the 1930's with designs that were angular with simple lines and was the period of skyscrapers, movie idols, and the cubist works of Picasso and Legras. Art Deco motifs were used for every conceivable object being produced from the 1920's through the 1930's. At the Atlanta Antique Gallery, we carry a vast selection of antique art deco to include: appliances, Bakelite and Catalin products, vintage art deco barware, antique art deco bronzes, vintage art deco cameras, clocks, antique radios, antique art deco lamps, vintage art deco glassware, art deco jewelry, antique art deco pottery, and art deco smokerama.
